Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) Gets Approval for Online Betting

The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) on Friday received in-principle approval from the state government to execute online betting. Now the club will create a mobile app through which punters will be able to place bets on horse racing as well as collect dividends through e-wallet.

BTC sources said that due to social disturbances with the new standard becoming, punters would not be able to bet from a betting stand and would need to rely on digital means to place bets.

According to the report, a senior steward of BTC, Harimohan Naidu, said that the online betting app would be ready in two months. And app punters will be able to bet on the race from anywhere. Naidu explained that “Racing enthusiasts can place bets on the races we conduct. This will tremendously expand our customer base, boost our business as well as the government’s revenue.

Naidu said that betting during any race means that there is a crowd of thousands of people, which is not possible, given the condition of today, until a vaccine is found, online betting help us to does not allow us to physically collect the punters.
