Punjab Lottery Dealers are Stuck with Tickets Worth Rs. 2 Crore

Punjab Lottery dealers are stuck with Rs. 2 crore worth of tickets after cancellation of Baisakhi bumper due to the ongoing pandemic. The dealers have alleged that the state government has refused to return the tickets and has also refused to exchange these tickets into rakhi bumper.

A Punjab lottery dealer said “We have refunded the amount to most customers, but the state government is now harassing the dealers by not allowing the return or exchange of tickets. The government at least exchanges tickets with Rakhi Bumper ”

Recently, a meeting was held between the Northern India Lottery Association and some officials of the Punjab State Lottery Department, but there was no conclusion.

Punjab State Lottery Superintendent Harjeet Singh said, ‘The traders have submitted their demands and the department is looking into it. Some of the claims made by him regarding the sale of tickets are also questionable. A decision is to be taken by the higher authorities and will be announced soon. “
