In response, Industrial Development Minister Satish Mahana clarified the state government’s stance, saying, “No, a casino is a certain type of gambling facility … from licensing the casino, it is difficult to legally stop gambling, betting, and lotteries.” Will go. ”

He said that the granting of licenses would give a boost to gambling activities which could adversely affect the law and order which would affect the Moral and economic conditions of the people.

In contrast, Bajpayee said that gambling is already going on in UP. More people also visit Nepal during the IPL cricket season, so licensing it will help generate revenue for the state.
