BJP urges Andhra CM to Ban Rummy

Andhra Pradesh unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) vice president , S. Vishnuvardhan Reddy urging to the state’s CM  Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy to ban online rummy and other betting games in the state.

Vishnuvardhan Reddy said that the advertisements of online gaming companies lure youngsters into promising lucrative returns on their investments. As a result, educated youth have also become accustomed to online gambling and betting.

According to a report by The Hindu, many youths accustomed to online gambling are resorting to economic crimes and anti-social activities. The report also said that some of them also attempted suicide, causing anxiety among the parents.
