Montana Could Start Betting From March 9

In Montana, sports betting may begin in the next month. Licensed lottery retailers are starting to set up in-store sports betting kiosks on March 9. The Montana Lottery announced licenses for more than 100 sales agents to operate the kiosks. But online betting is illegal.

Lottery commissioners on Thursday finalized the rules for sports betting. The bill only allows licensed lottery retailers to authorize bills. Kickoff for legal sports betting now depends on certifying the kiosk.

Accepted Betting Types :- Moneyline, total, in-game, parlay, spread bets and future bets are explicitly permitted when the Montana Lottery Commission approves the rules on Thursday.

Acceptable Sports :- The commission further outlined the rules for placing bets on baseball, hockey, football, football, tennis, boxing, mixed martial arts, golf and motor sports as well as professional and college basketball.

Montana was the first state to approve a sports betting bill in 2019 and one of the most aggressive states last year to pursue sports betting legislation.
