Police rescued little boy at Twin River Casino Parking

A three-year-old autistic boy was left in an unheated car for half an hour on Saturday while his father went to the Twin River Gaming venue in Lincoln, Rhode Island, to place bets on the boy, rescued by police. Police reported that the temperature was in the mid-30s during the day. The child’s father was identified by police as 38-year-old Mitchell Cuevas who was arrested for cruelty or neglect of the child and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.

The lonely child was seen in the car by passers-by who were left in the parking lot of the Twin River Casino Hotel. And then state troops assigned to the casino were informed of this. Police confirmed that Cuevas is the boy’s father. The child was handed over to his mother, Cuevas was released from custody on Saturday after being granted $ 2,000 bail.

In New England, police have investigated other incidents of adults abandoning children in casinos. One where a 6-year-old boy was wandering on the sixth floor of a casino hotel. He was alone in a hotel room for six hours.

Another parent left her 11-year-old son outside of Encore Boston Harbor for three hours. The child approached a security officer.

Police have investigated other types of crimes at Lincoln’s Twin River Casino in recent months.
